hey you definitely wanna use asio over your primary sound driver to minimize the input latency on your midi controller. The audio would then be routed through the ASIO interface. If you don't receive any output, make sure you've selected an ASIO or DirectSound driver (see Audio Settings).
I have tried to find ASIO4All and tell windows to use it but its seems impossible to do this. This will enable the use of headphones when the ASIO driver is running. Make sure the audio driver has been initialized and is working.
